These Terms & Conditions apply when you use roomdivider.uk and when you buy from Room Divider Company, a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd ("we", "us" or "our"). By browsing or using this site, or by placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you order.

Who you are buying from

Room Divider Company is a division of Caruso Consulting Co Ltd. We sell online only. We do not have a physical shop or showroom. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

Using this website

We give you a limited, personal permission to use this site to shop with us. You cannot transfer that permission to anyone else, and we can withdraw it. It does not cover commercial use, or use on behalf of another person or business, unless we have agreed to that in writing first. If you break these terms, the permission ends straight away.

When you use this site, you agree that you will not:

• Use it in any way that breaks the law.
• Upload or send anything that contains viruses or other harmful code.
• Post or send anything that is defamatory, threatening, obscene, discriminatory, or that could lead to a civil claim or a criminal charge.
• Post or send anything that breaks someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
• Try to get into our systems without permission, or interfere with how the site works or how secure it is.
• Copy, reproduce, sell, change, reverse-engineer or otherwise exploit the site or any part of it without our written permission.
• Give false information or pretend to be someone else.

If we give you an account identification or password, you are responsible for keeping it secure and for what is done with it. Please tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

By using this site you confirm that you are 18 or older. If you are under 18, please use this site only with a parent or legal guardian.

Our content

Everything on this site, including our name (Room Divider Company), logo, text, images, photographs, illustrations, designs, icons and videos, belongs to us or to the people who license it to us. It is here for your personal, non-commercial use while you shop.

Products & descriptions

We take care to describe our products accurately, including materials and measurements. Product photos are for illustration, and slight differences in colour and finish can occur. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for assembly, fixings, clearances and where a room divider, track or curtain may be used.

Prices & discounts

All prices are in pounds sterling. The total shown at checkout, made up of the item prices and any delivery charge, is what we charge you.

We work to keep prices correct. If we find an error in the price of an order you have placed, we will contact you before we dispatch it and ask whether you want to go ahead at the correct price.

Discount codes take money off the goods only, never off delivery. For example, the valued-customer code gives 15% off the items in your cart. Free delivery is based on your goods total after any discount.

Ordering

• Your order is an offer. Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is made when we dispatch your order.
• Processing. Once your payment has cleared, orders are usually handled within 24 to 48 hours.
• Your details. Please give us a correct delivery address, email address and phone number. We are not responsible for delays or failed deliveries caused by wrong details.
• Orders we cannot accept. We may refuse or cancel an order, for example when an item is out of stock, when we suspect fraud, or when we believe the order breaks the law or harms our business. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we refund you in full.

Cancelling an order

Contact us as soon as possible if you want to stop an order before dispatch; within 12 hours gives us the best chance because orders are handled within 24 to 48 hours. If it has already shipped, UK consumers still retain the online cancellation rights explained on our Refunds & Returns page.

Payment & security

You pay in full at checkout, by card through Stripe Checkout or by PayPal. Your card details go straight to Stripe or PayPal. We never receive or store them. We process your order once the payment is authorised.

Email is the best way to reach us, and you can write at any time. We do our very best to reply to support emails within 24 hours.

Your consumer rights

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires goods to be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 also apply to most online consumer purchases. Nothing in these terms limits a right under UK law that cannot be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

• We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
• We are not responsible for business losses where you buy as a consumer, including loss of profit, revenue, data or opportunity.
• We provide the website "as is". We do not promise that it will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude or limit. More detail is on our Limited Liability Indemnity page, which also forms part of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you keep any mandatory protection given by the law where you live and may bring proceedings in your local courts where the law permits. Available alternative dispute-resolution routes are not excluded.

Changes to these terms

We may change this site and these terms at any time. The version on this page when you place an order is the version that applies to that order.
